Montana was born on May 12, 2000. She is liver in color with a small amount of white on her chest. She is the daughter of Ch. Fogelhund Snip O Snow Shelby FD, Am.SH, CD, CGC. and Am/Cdn. Ch. Fogelhund’s Point A Wildwing CD, CGC.

Montana is 24 inches at the shoulder and weighs approximately 55 pounds. She is CKC and AKC registered. Montana finished her Canadian Show Title (CH) on February 17, 2002. Some of her wins included Best of Breed, over Specials, and Best Puppy. Montana also earned her Canine Good Citizen title (CGC) on November 10, 2001. She presently completed her Companion Dog Title (CD), on October 26, 2002. Montana currently has 11 pts towards her American Show Champion Title and needs one major to finish. She is a beautiful working bird dog. She completed her Canadian Field Dog title (FD) with four qualifiers in back to back weekends June 2004. She was #3 Field Dog in Canada in 2004. In the U.S., she needs one more qualifier to finish her American Master Hunter title and already completed her American Senior Hunter Title with 5 qualifiers. She will then move onto Canadian Field Dog Excellent.

Montana is a very willing, calm young dog, and she loves children. She is a very strong swimmer and will putter at the lake all day if permitted. Her temperament is excellent.

We have bred her to Griffin back in spring 2005, who is also known as  Am. CH. Kist Mi’s Impressive Griffin MH. Griffin is OFA Excellent. He has almost completed his Am. Field Champion as well. Once this is completed he will become a Dual Champion. As a result of the breeding, she produced 11 pups in May (see picture above). These pups have gone on to earning field, show and obedience titles.

Montana excels at hunting, is steady to command, and shows desire and intensity on point. She  retrieves to hand on both land and from water.  Montana has been the attention of many judges, pro handlers, gunners and steadfast hunters when she hunts. She simply every hunters dream to watch when she works birds. Conformationally, she exhibits all the outstanding characteristics of a Shorthair. She has good bone, depth of chest, broad head, short backed, angulation and muscle. Although she is a liver, she tends to produce some ticked pups as well as livers.
